National Forage Week is a time to celebrate the importance of healthy food sources for livestock and ranchers.

It promotes the benefits of maintaining optimal forage for grazing and growing, which helps to preserve land for future generations and create a healthier ecosystem.

Invasive weeds, like cheatgrass and medusahead, pose a threat to nutrient-rich forage and can lead to wildfires.

Ranchers can use strategies like herbicide application and rotational grazing to combat these invasive species and protect their land.

Digital technology can also help track and manage invasive grasses.
