Shelley Paulson, a renowned equine photographer and industry expert, recently published an insightful analysis on the impact of AI-generated imagery in equine advertising.

In her blog post titled "Why AI-Generated Horse Images Are Hurting Brand Trust," Paulson discusses the authenticity crisis that the equestrian industry is facing. Through an informal survey of equestrians and marketing professionals, Paulson found that 96% of respondents feel that AI-generated images damage brand credibility.

Horse owners, known for their attention to detail, quickly spot inconsistencies in AI-generated images, leading to skepticism about the brand's integrity. According to Paulson, using AI-generated images in marketing raises red flags for consumers, as it suggests that the brand may be cutting corners in other areas.

Horse owners value authenticity, and brands that fail to deliver genuine, high-quality imagery risk losing trust and loyalty. To address this issue, Paulson suggests that brands invest in real, professionally captured images or consider custom photoshoots that align with their brand identity.

With over two decades of experience in equine photography, Paulson offers a library of over 16,000 authentic equestrian images for licensing. For media inquiries, interviews, or licensing requests, interested parties can contact Shelley Paulson through her website or stock library.

Thoughts From Denver

Cheat Grass…the scourge of the west in many people’s opinion.
I see many operations that have adjusted to using it instead of fighting it. It has some value before it cures if it can be grazed early.
Some operations are set up to do that and some aren’t. Water development, fencing and incorporating yearlings into the program have changed grass composition for a lot of ranches.
Producers are great grass managers and have to be to continue in business. We’re all grass farmers, we just get to ‘cowboy’ to do it.
